Banaue and Sagada are located in the Philippines’ mountain province. Banaue is world famous for rows upon rows of rice terraces, which were carved into the Ifugao Mountains by the indigenous tribes over 2000 years ago. You can hike and along and make sure to see Batad rice terraces.

Sagada on the other hand gives you the adventure of going into caves and seeing hanging coffins. Get to understand the culture of the people and you’ll see why they’re perfect addition to your Philippines travel itinerary.

How to Travel to Banaue and Sagada

Banaue and Sagada are located in the mountainous area of the Cordillera region of the Philippines. This means that you can only go there by bus or by hiring your private car.

The two main bus companies going to Banaue and Sagada are Ohayami Trans and Coda Lines. They usually depart on evenings so you will arrive early morning. This is perfect because you will get to save on an overnight hotel accommodation and also get to start sightseeing early the next day.

You should book your bus tickets in advance as they’re limited and can be fully booked especially on weekends.
